                                                                   The priest's curse


  More than 300 years ago, a Captain General named Domingos Francisco Francisques and known as "Cabecinha" asked an island vicar named Frei Fernando to bury his son under the altar of the Igreja Matriz, claiming that he and his family helped a lot in the construction of the church. Church. However, the request was denied.

  Not satisfied, Cabecinha decided to take revenge, imprisoned the priest in a canoe and threw him into the open sea with only a portion of dried fish and breadcrumbs. Humiliated inside the boat, the friar cried a curse saying: “As long as there is a living descendant of Domingos Francisco Francisques, the São Francisco will never prosper”.

  Legend has it that there is still one last person connected to Cabecinha's family, an elderly woman, childless and single.


The legend of the slave Mary


  

At a time when slaves moved the Franciscan economy, a slave named Maria was taken from her people and brought to work on a farm, where she suffered a lot at the hands of her owner and ended up getting pregnant.

  When the baby was born, they say the slave ran away, going to hide in Morro da Cruz. The owner of the Farm, furious, went after her to capture her, because when he was almost reaching her, Maria threw herself from the top of the hill with her son in her lap.

  Legend has it that Mary died and became a beautiful flower that bloomed every day, and her son had turned into a hummingbird that daily kissed the flower that was his mother.


THE HORSE CART WITHOUT HORSE


During the winter nights, when the wind and the mist come through the beautiful city São Francisco do Sul on the 10th street, the residents were annoyed by the awful sound of one mysterious horse cart. This horse cart moved slowly, the residents were getting angrier and angrier. When they decided to open their windows, they freaked out. THERE 'S NO HORSE!! They only see the horse cart with old pots, buckets and some other things who are responsible for the annoying sound. The people, scared, hid to protect themselves from this mystic and scary situation waiting for this cart to disappear in the mist. 

The old people say the cartman was always hurting his horse and a supernatural force came into the animal as revenge and killed the man with one kick. the horse disappeared… 


THE ROSE BUSH LEGEND



In a farm in our city, there's a very kind and innocent girl who lives with her uncles cause her parents passed away very early. Her uncles treat her very badly, they consider her a big problem. On the way to this farm there was one rose bush which got tangled in the girl's dress, taking one piece of her dress every time she walked there. This situation happened so many times and the girl, already sad, decided to tell her uncles who gave a sh!t about it and tell her to avoid staying close to the rosebush. With this advice, the girl did what they told her but the plant still cut the dress. The girl was scared and went crying to her uncles who finally decided to cut the rose bush. When the uncles cut the plant they found, surprisingly and curiously, a lot of golden coins. With the coins they became big farmers and gave away the girl, leaving her without any coin.
