Nine tips from locals about São Chico
1) If you can, avoid spending your holidays here at the high season (January and February). It’s too crowded!
2) If you like calm beaches, go to Praia do Molhe. There, you can enjoy the sun, the ocean and it's a reserved beach.
3) Did you feel hungry? Don't miss going to Inês Zardo, you'll love her chocolate pie!
4) If you like to visit museums you ought to visit the historical museum of the city. It was built in an old prison. You can even see the solitary cell.
5) If you take a ferry boat to Vila da Glória, maybe you will see beautiful toninhas (a special kind of dolphin from the region) at the sea.
6) If you like sports like volleyball, the best place is at the beginning of Enseada, in front of Monteiro restaurant.
7) Praia do Mota is one of the best places to see the sunset, with benches on the sidewalk. You can enjoy the late afternoon sun while watching the sea at Babitonga Bay. If you are lucky, you will see the toninhas.
8) If you want to see the city from above and take really good pictures, we can recommend you to go to: Morro da Esperança, Morro da Cruz and the Sambaqui.
9) If you like surfing, stay tuned: here in São Chico, we have frequent competitions in this modality!
